Front Country (USA) available for Ireland, 17-23 Oct. 2017

Nearly two years ago the BIB published news from Loudon Temple of the UK's Brookfield Knights agency about the highly regarded and innovative young San Francisco-based band Front Country (left). Loudon reports that their tour in Britain earlier this year went so well that it is hoped to bring them over for two tours in 2017. Comments on the tour have been ecstatic.

In 2014 Front Country had only been together three years and just launched their debut album when they made their mark on the western US scene by winning the band competitions at the Telluride and Rockygrass festivals, and were being acclaimed by Bluegrass Today and members of leading bands. In this year's IBMA Momentum awards, Front Country's lead singer Melody Walker won the Vocalist award - the other finalists included Molly Tuttle and Lindsay Lou Rilko.

Loudon can now confirm that Brookfield Knights will have Front Country over in these islands for a three-week run of dates from 3 to 22 October 2017, as well as for summer festivals. The Ireland tour period will be the last week: 17-23 October. Loudon writes:
