Roni Stoneman is R.O.P.E. Musician of the Year

Thanks to Tom Connor, husband and manager of Roni Stoneman, for the news that last night (2 Oct.) the First Lady of Banjo received the prestigious Musician of the Year award from the Reunion Of Professional Entertainers (R.O.P.E.) at their 27th Annual Banquet and Awards Show in Nashville, TN.

Tom points out that this, awarded by her peers within the industry, stands out as one of the most important and welcome of the many awards Roni has received in her career, and adds to the growing recognition of the Stoneman Family's contribution to country music. It also follows closely upon Roni's recent release of 'The day the banjo dies', a song written for her and produced by Ronnie Buff and now available to radio and TV (see the BIB for 13 September).

Contact Tom at Cumbria Entertainments or Ronnie Buff at Buff S Publishing for further info.
