Readers will have noticed that UKBluegrass.com - since 2006 the most valuable source of day-to-day information on what's happening on the British bluegrass scene - has been oddly quiet over the past summer, with only a few news items published during the busiest time of the bluegrass year. The reason? Its founders and operators, Katherine Selby and Jer Boon, have been moving house, and have accordingly taken a not-quite-complete sabbatical from bluegrass activity.

If you've kept an eye on the headlines displayed on the right-hand side of the BIB, you'll have seen last night a new post announcing a new festival for next June, at Tamworth in the English midlands. Today there's a further post, with embedded video, about the new young multi-national band Lands End, mentioned recently on the BIB. We welcome UKBluegrass.com back as a vital part of the daily nourishment for fans of the music in these islands.
