Dog Ruff String Band, Fridays at the Green Room, Oct. 2012

The Open House team in Belfast announce that as part of their Fifteen Free Fridays series the Dog Ruff String Band from Co. Antrim will hold down a residency in the Green Room (the café-bar part of the Black Box, 18-22 Hill St., Belfast BT1 2LA) every Friday night in October (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th) with weekly special guests and Open House folk/Americana/hillbilly DJ sets, admission free, 6.00-11.00 p.m.

The Dog Ruff String Band, billed as 'purveyors of the finest, ruffest, tuffest hillbilly bluegrass music' made a big impact at the Caravan Jam on this year’s Culture Night Belfast. The DRSB consist of Mal Duffin (fiddle), Marty Reed (banjo, vocals), John Kennedy (guitar, vocals), Bernard Duffin (mandolin), and Pedro Lennon (double bass, vocals).
