Bluegrass at the Maiden City, 4-5 Aug. 2012

Thanks to David Hoey of the Maiden City Festival in Derry city for information on this year's event, in which the bluegrass-related part of the Festival extends to two days, as shown in the poster image (left).

On Sat. 4 Aug. the long-established 'Bluegrass on the Walls' programme will be on from 1.00 to 4.00 p.m., with performances around and within the walls by the Dirty Blues Band, Cup o' Joe, Janet Holmes & Colin Henry, the Down & Out Bluegrass Band, Gypsy Rebel Rabble, Well Enough Alone, the Sullivan Brothers, and the Perch Creek Family Jug Band. From 7.30 to 10.00 p.m. there will be an Assorted Bluegrass concert in the Craft Village Square by the Carrivick Sisters (UK), the Sullivan Brothers with Colin Henry, and Pinecastle recording artists I Draw Slow.

On Sun. 5 Aug. the Craft Village Square will hold a new feature: the Bluegrass Brunch (1.00-6.00 p.m.) with the Farriers, Amanda Whittaker, the White Mansions, the Jesse Janes, the Murder Balladers, and Wookalily.
